Block Diwas Held at Gulabgarh, Block Paddar

The weekly Block Diwas programme was held on 24 June 2026 at the BDO Office, Gulabgarh, Block Paddar, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar, Sh. Pankaj Kumar Sharma (JKAS). The event commenced with a welcome address by SDM Paddar, Dr. Amit Kumar (JKAS).



The Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar, administered the Nasha Mukt Pledge to all participants during the event. Locals gathered in large numbers and raised their grievances regarding roads, health services, water supply, and other issues related to various departments. The Deputy Commissioner issued on-the-spot directions to the concerned departments for their early redressal.

100 Days Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan

The Deputy Commissioner also shared detailed insights into the ongoing 100 Days Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan in the district, which was launched UT-wide on April 11, 2026, by the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of J&K.

Department Stalls & Health Camp

Various departments set up informative stalls to share details on government-sponsored welfare schemes and encouraged residents to avail themselves of available benefits.



An awareness stall-cum-medical health check-up camp was also organised by the Health Department, during which CD screening of patients was conducted, free medicines were distributed, ABHA IDs were generated, and health awareness was provided to the public.

Directions Issued by the Deputy Commissioner

The DC issued several key directives during the Block Diwas:

  • All public grievances to be disposed of on priority with prompt and effective redressal.
  • Wide publicity to be given to schemes of the Animal Husbandry and Sheep Husbandry Departments; panchayat-wise camps to be organised for maximum coverage.
  • Road connectivity issues, particularly those related to PMGSY roads, to be addressed on priority with all bottlenecks resolved in a time-bound manner.
  • A robust mechanism to be established to address electricity faults during snowfall and ensure prompt power restoration.
  • All district-level approved works to be completed before October, with close monitoring for timely completion and quality execution.
  • Deserving beneficiaries left out of the ration card database to be identified and included after due verification.
  • Census-related duties to be carried out after 4:00 PM, wherever feasible; teachers to perform assigned responsibilities diligently.
  • Panchayat-level camps to be organised regularly for improved service delivery and grassroots scheme implementation.
