World Food Safety Day Celebrated at HQ Kishtwar
World’s Food Safety Day is an annual event & celebration to draw kind attention & inspire sincere actions to help to prevent and detect & Foodborne challenges. On this behalf, it is proclaimed that World Health Organization (WHO) did announce the theme of World Food Day in March 2022 & the theme is Safer Food, Better Health.
Today on 7th June 2022 World Food Safety Day is celebrated with zest, zeal & fervor at TRC Kishtwar, the Deptt. Of Food Safety Drugs & Food Control Orgn. Distt Kishtwar made collaboration with the Deptt. of ICDS of District Kishtwar, the Chief Guest Sh. Ifhat Ara CDPO presided over the celebration and on this occasion awareness regarding the meaning & proper implementation of Food Safety was deliberated at length, during this event the frontliners of ICDS were detailed about the meaning of Food Safety & mega level program was organized by imparting awareness regarding Fortification in ICDS & Mid Day meal, Sh .Taraq Ahmad Butt Assistant Commissioner Food Safety District Doda in charge of Kishtwar elaborated on the topic of Food Safety its Rules & regulations & also expanded the subject towards Eat Right challenge 2 including & its initiatives like Hygiene ratings,BHOG, RUCO, Hygienic practices, Sanitation, Cleanliness, Food Safety on wheels MFTV Surveillance testings, awareness, training, Eat Right Campus, Eat Right Schools, Eat Right Schools, outreach, media publicity & promotion.
During the session of celebration, the Theme-Safer Food better Health of Worlds Food Safety Day was explored in front of the participants including Enforcement staff Food Safety Officers & Field workers who were at the helm of affairs to educate the public about the objectives of FSSA and Allied activities…The theme-Safer Food, Better Health was highlighted by the speakers & trainers. On the occasion of this event, the role of MFTV was also narrated & demonstrated, and the Sr. Analyst Subhash & Assistant analyst Lokesh Gupta did well by imparting awareness, & training to the participants, Food Bussiness Operators, Consumers, and the public in Gen., emphasizing over the basic need of the implementation of the Fortification in ICDS and PDS was the key issue.
It was narrated by the Sh. Tariq Ahmad Butt Assistant Commissioner, DFCO Kishtwar that one in ten people are affected due to Foodborne. Safer Food is a marker of Good Health, unsafe Food can cause many diseases, unsafe Food can cause many diseases, and poor Food contributes to worsening health conditions such as impaired growth, development, and micronutrient. & macronutrients happen to be invisible & the disorders are created by poor quality people under Eat
Additionally, EAT Right challenge 2 is marked to World,s Food Day is marked to disseminate School. Likewise, This year whenever there are day celebrations.
Four steps of Food Safety were highlighted including prevention of Food poisoning, Hygiene of personal & premises & products, avoiding contamination & its cross-culture, and Cooking food at the Right temperature & its proper storage. Moreover, the importance of Food Safety were projected including 25 steps to make diet healthier, Packaging & labeling was the key issues. During the session pamphlets & brochures were distributed to more than 200 participants, importantly schemes like poshan abhiyaan, Anaemia Mukt Bharat were discussed & affirmation for its implementation in letters & spirits.
Looking forward to the welfare of the consumers, young kids, elders & public in General a wide media publicity was made, this slogans-*Thora Tail, Chini our Namak Kam karen*of Eat Right challenge were recited on dice by Sh.Taraq Ahmad Butt Assistant Commissioner Food Safety District Kishtwar accompanied by the Staff of Kishtwar. Meanwhile, the participants were detailed about the three categories of Food items including High Risk, low risk & medium risk & the guidelines enumerated thereupon. The Day of World Food Safety was celebrated with enthusiasm, commitment & and vision to surmount the hurdles in the interest of the Nation.
