First Day witnesses long queues of Local Singers in two categories at GHSS Boys Kishtwar

The auditions for first season of the Kishtwar Idol was today formally launched by Deputy Commisioner Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav (IAS) by flagging off the Kishtwar Idol Audition Express here from DC Office Complex Kishtwar.
Among others DIO Kishtwar Kuldeep Kumar,DySP DAR Sajjad Khan,CEO Kishtwar Prehlad Bhagat, Jurry members & Mentors of Kishtwar Idol besides team members & media persons remained present on the occasion.
The Kishtwar Idol Express boarded with team members, Mentors and Jury members passed through the Kishtwar town and reached the Govt Boys Higher Secondary school Kishtwar where first audition event took place.
The first Day of much awaited auditions for Kishtwar Idol Season1 was conducted today by District Administration Kishtwar in conjunction with designated Jury team here at Govt Higher Secondary School Boys Kishtwar.
The audition witnessed a huge participation of aspiring singers from all walks of life ranging from school going children to senior citizens.The contesting singers fought under two categories viz below 18 years and 18 plus age groups.
The participants showcased a variety of singing styles, ranging from traditional folk music to contemporary pop music. The judges were impressed by the level of talent on display and had a tough time selecting the best among the lot.
Overall about 96 singers took part & good one were selected for the next round by the judges who remained on the forefront to select the best among the lot.
The selected participants will now move to the next round, where they will be given further opportunities to demonstrate their singing abilities.
The event was organised under the overall guidance of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav and under the close supervision of District Information Officer Kishtwar, Kuldeep Kumar in collaboration with Mentors, Ambassadors & Jury members of Kishtwar Idol.
The first-of-its-kind programme received an enthusiastic response on the first day from all the participants who showed their craze for singing.
The participants expressed their happiness with such a first of its kind initiative by District Administration.
They stated that the event provided them an excellent opportunity to showcase their talents.
DC Kishtwar in his message has encouraged the local singers to show maximum participation in coming audition events to be organised at different locations of district Kishtwar on the given days and venues.
He informed that Kishtwar Idol Audition Express will carry the jury members and Mentors to different location on scheduled date and venues where aspiring singers can take the auditions at their door step.
DIO Kishtwar has extended words of appreciation for the media persons who gave wide coverage to the event besides extended gratitude to the Education department for their Coordination.
The support from the Jury members including Dy SP Sajjad Khan, Sanjeev Kumar, Bhavna Dubey, Mentors including Mushtaq Kishtwari, Bansi Lal, Farooq Bakshi, Rajesh Kumar, Awani Sen has been well appreciated by District Administration for today’s event.
