Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar urges Youth Trainees to implement learnings for sustainable development

The Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav (IAS) today convened an interactive meeting and spoke to Youth Trainees of the Community Leadership Executive Course concluded recently at IIM Jammu, and encouraged them to utilize their newly acquired skills and knowledge to promote sustainable development in the district.

On the occasion, Officers/officials of Govt Polytechnic college Kishtwar & Mission Youth besides the trainee were present.




The programme was a CSR initiative led by the Director of IIM Jammu in collaboration with the District Administration Kishtwar, Mission Youth, and Government Polytechnic College Kishtwar.

During the interaction, DC Kishtwar emphasized the importance of strengthening Youth Clubs and ensuring drug-free societies in their respective blocks, as well as supporting governance and developmental works in the area.




He also urged the trainees to represent their regions and play a crucial role in regional development by implementing what they learned in the training programme.

The youth trainees shared their experiences of the training programme, which addressed critical areas such as government schemes, drug abuse, and skill enhancement.

DC Kishtwar asked them to play their roles and responsibilities diligently to achieve the desired outcomes.




The youth pledged to constitute the Youth Clubs in their area and ensure mobilization of youth nd community awareness on various education, sports & developmental initiative of govt.

Pertinent to mention that ,the Community Leadership Executive Course concluded successfully on March 31st, 2023, after running for five days from March 27th.




The programme’s aim was to equip the trainees with the skills and knowledge necessary to lead their communities towards sustainable development.
