Department of Social Welfare Organises Medical Assesment Camp for Specially Abled Persons at TRC Mugalmaidan in Collaboration with ALIMCO.

On the eve of International Day for Specially Abled Persons, Social Welfare Department today organised an assesment camp under Assistance to Disabled Persons (ADIP) in Collaboration with Artificial Limbs Corporation of India (ALIMCO) at TRC Mugalmaidan under the overall supervision of District Social Welfare Officer Kishtwar Tariq Parveaz Qazi.

In the said event assesment of more than 160 disabled persons was conducted by the team from ALIMCO in presence of Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Chatroo Rajesh Kumar Sharma and other staff members from Social Welfare Department.
Out of 160 differently abled persons 108 were identified by the team who will be provided with the prosthetic Aids whichever needed in near future free of cost.

In the said assesment camp the differently abled persons were also made aware about various other welfare schemes run by the Department for differently abled persons.

Scores of prominent persons of the area including Sarpanches, Panches also marked there footfall presence on the occasion.

It is pertinent to mention here that Social Welfare Department is organising similar Camp at TRC Chattroo on 04-12-2021.
