Weekly Block Diwas : DC kishtwar listened to the grievances of people at Chatroo

Handed over 6 number of e-Shram cards,2 golden cards,6 number of Domicile certificates to beneficiaries_

Continuing the Block Diwas initiative of Lt. Governor’s Administration, special public grievance redressal camps was today held at block Chatroo to get first hand appraisal of the public issues.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Ashok Kumar Sharma gave patient hearing to all issues/grievances put forth by the people.

During the proceedings, a large number of deputations, individuals from different areas flagged off their grievances and demands to the DC.



PRI members who participated in the programme apprised the Deputy Commissioner about various issues of their respective areas.

Specifically, A delegation from Panchayat Chingam A demanded repair of Kuhals,maintenance of link road from Pahal Gwari to Khawra, while a delegation from Panchayat Inderwal B demanded the repair of 7 km stretch of approaching road to Singpora.

The Sarpanch from Panchayat Lower Chatroo C demanded replacement of wooden poles.
Similarly Sarpanch from Chatroo B demanded inclusion of left out beneficiaries under Forest right Act.

Besides other general issues like timely payments under 14 FC, purchase of solar lights, rationalisation of various WSS under Jal Jivan Mission, development of Tourism potential in the area, coverage of beneficiaries under the Awas plus, augmentation of staff in health centres, upgradation of local Infrastructure in edication,health,Road and power sectors in the block was also highlighted for immediate redressal.

Officers from concerned departments responded to the queries and grievances of people that pertained to their departments.

The DC after giving patient hearing to the public addressed various issues and grievances on the spot and assured of taking up other issues with relevant authorities for early redressal.



On the issue of the road from Chatroo to Chingam DC kishtwar informed that necessary directions have been forwarded to NHIDCL and soon the issue will be redressed.

He said that mitigation of public issues is the priority of the administration and directed the officers to adopt robust grievance redressal mechanisms so that people do not suffer at any cost.

He instructed officers to remain available for people every time and listen to their issues for prompt redressal.

During the programme the Deputy Commissioner also apprised the masses about the various pro-people initiatives taken by the government of UT of J&K under umbrella Campaign run in the UT and in the district in particular, which includes “Aapki Zameen Aapki Nigrani”; Yogyata Se Rojgar Mahotsav; Janta Ki Scheme-Janta Ki Bhagidari; One Person One Golden Card; Har Ghar Nal Se Jal; Berojgar Se Swa-Rojgar; Har Kam Ki Shuruat; Har Gaon Swachh Gaon; Har Gaon Hariyali; Har Ghar Dastak.

He urged PRIs to spread mass awareness at grassroots level about “AAP KI ZAMEEN AAP KI NIGRANI”- the online digital platform containing digitized revenue records. He said the platform ensures easy access to land records to every citizen, which will save both their time and energy in getting their crucial revenue documents.

He further urged the PRIs to spread awareness among the unorganised workers including the household women and farm workers to register with the e-Shram portal to avail the various social security schemes.

Speaking on the occasion DC Kishtwar urged the people to continue to adhering the COVID-19 Appropriate Behaviour and go for 2nd dose of vaccination to avoid the next wave of corona besides stressed people to registered themselve for the Golden cards as it is also imperative to avail the health benefits during this crucial period of COVID pandemic.

Meanwhile, DC Kishtwar also interacted with the members of the Youth Club and stressed them to be a proactive role in participative democracy.

He urged the youths to avail the various self Employement schemes rolled out by the central and state to ensure their livelihood.

On the occasion ,DC kishtwar in presence of BDC chairpersons and DDC councillors Inderwal and SDM Chatroo handed over 6 number of e-Shram cards,2 golden cards,6 number of Domicile certificates to the eligible beneficiaries.



The programme was attended by BDC chairpersons Inderwal Famida Begum,DDC councillor Rubina Begum,SDM Chhatroo Inderjeet Parihar,CHO Kishtwar Mushtaq Ahmed Wani,CAO Kishtwar S K Bhagat, BMO Chatroo Dr Guljabeen Ara, besides other District and sectoral officers.
