District Magistrate Kishtwar Sh Ashok Kumar Sharma issues order regarding weekend lockdown in district Kishtwar.

His order reads as :

In continuation to the Covid protocols issued vide order No:- DMK/COVID-19/4283-4306 Dt:- 10.01.2022  under Disaster management Act, 2005 and in pursuant to the Govt Order under reference, I, Ashok Kumar Sharma, JKAS, Chairperson District Disaster Management Authority, Kishtwar, in the exercise of the powers vested in me under section 144 CRPC, Section 34 of Disaster Management Act 2005 and Epidemic Disease Act, 1897, do hereby order that, there shall be a complete restriction on non-essential movement during weekends ( Saturday and Sunday) in the entire District w.e.f 15.01.2022 till further orders, besides night restrictions which are already in force. Sr. Superintendent of police Kishtwar shall ensure enforcement of the said order in letter and spirit. In view of the emergent nature of the order, it is issued ex parte and addressed to the concerned in general. It shall be circulated in print, electronic and social media for information of all concerned.

Any violation of this order shall invite punitive action under Section 188 of IPC and relevant provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005. This order shall remain in force with effect from 15.01.2022, till further orders.
