Shri Machail Mata Yatra crossed 9,000 Pilgrims Mark
Kishtwar, 29th July – The revered Shri Machail Mata Yatra has achieved a significant milestone, with over 9,000 yatris undertaking the pilgrimage to the Machail Mata Temple within just 5 days, since its official commencement on 25th July 2023 and the yatra shall conclude on 5th September 2023.
The Machail Mata Yatra, known for its spiritual significance, has seen an overwhelming response this year, witnessing more than nine thousand pilgrims before the arrival of holy Charri Yatra from Jammu to Machail scheduled for 18th August.
As per official reports, 4672 male, 3059 female and 1662 children a total of 9,393 devotees have come from different parts of the country to seek blessings at the revered shrine of Mata Chandi Machail, who is believed to fulfill wishes and bestow divine blessings.
DC Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav (IAS) expressed his delight at the overwhelming response to the yatra, emphasizing the unwavering faith people from all over the country have in the deity of Mata Chandi Machail.
He acknowledged the positive impact of the yatra on the socio-economic conditions of the Padder area, emphasizing the need for pilgrims to maintain the sanctity of the place by being mindful of cleanliness and hygiene.
The district administration of Kishtwar has taken several measures to facilitate the devotees during the yatra. These include the installation of a first-of-its-kind 30 KW hybrid Solar Power Plant, a 4G Airtel tower, and electricity to Machail Village, easing the experience for the devotees and the local community.
Additionally, facilities such as, Tent City at Machail, Yatri Bhawan, Sapphire guest house, and Luxury mushroom tent at Gulabgarh have been arranged to accommodate and host the devotees during their pilgrimage.
