MD Mission Vatsalya visits Kishtwar; reviews functioning of Bal Ashram
Kishtwar, Aug 10:
The Mission Director, Mission Vatsalya and Mission Shakti, Harvinder Kour (KAS) visited for two days extensive inspection tour of District Kishtwar and takes review of One Stop Centre, District Child Protection Unit and Child Welfare Committee besides visiting Bal Ashram Kishtwar Kishtwar to inspect the working of CCI.
Accompanied by District Child Protection Officer Kishtwar, Zubair Ahmed Lone (KAS) , also took a review of the assessment of the functioning of the Mission Vatsalya and OSC. The officials of respective units of Mission Vatsalya Unit Kishtwar apprised the chair in detail about the achievements made so far by the respective units.
During her visit to the Bal Ashram Kishtwar, she inspected various sections there and sought details regarding medical care being provided to the children of the home. She emphasized maintaining cleanliness in and around the CCI besides she also enquired about Covid mitigation steps being taken for the safety of inmates of institutions.
She urged concerned officers to further improve the functioning of Child Care Institutions besides interacting with the inmates of Bal Ashram. Hailing the role of officials in making progress on Child welfare in the district, she enjoined them to work in consonance with the guidelines so that better outcomes are achieved.
Impressing upon the stakeholders to work in synergy, the Mission Director assured every possible assistance for making all units effective and vibrant. The MD also visited the identified building for CCI and directed the DCPO for the immediate functioning of the CCI.
