Govt Middle School Panditgam Kishtwar renamed after Martyr

In order to honour the sacrifice made by the valiant soldier while protecting the country, District Administration Kishtwar in collaboration with Chief Education Officer Kishtwar today renamed one more Govt School namely Government Middle School Panditgam as “Shaheed Ram Charan Memorial Govt Middle School Panditgam”.

The school has been renamed after the Martyr Ram Charan of village Panditgam who laid his life in the line of duty while serving in JKP.

Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav (IAS) was the Chief Guest on the occasion and ACP Kishtwar Zakir Hussain Wani,Chief Education Officer Kishtwar Sudershan Kumar Sharma,ZEO Kishtwar Ranbir Singh were guest of honour.

Tribute was paid to martyr here in a ceremony organised in the premises of said school wherein the mother and family members of martyr, local PRIs , prominant persons besides staff and students of the said school and staff of district administration and CEO office Kishtwar also remained present on the occasion.

Meanwhile, speaking on the occasion, DC Kishtwar remembered the sacrifice made by Sh. Ram Charan ji while performing his duty to protect the safety and integrity of the nation in fighting against the terrorists.

While highlighting the significance of renaming the school after the Martyr, DC said that it is a proud moment for us and hoped that students will now be motivated to serve the nation.

CEO Kishtwar while speaking on the occasion said that though the void created in the family by the loss of martyr can never be filled but renaming the school after the Martyr will be a great tribute to the Martyr and his sacrifice made by the valiant soldier who laid down his life in the service of nation.

The mother and family members of martyr has expressed their gratitude to the government for this initiative.
