_Listens to people’s issues; urges public to participate in ongoing Jan Abhiyan/B2V and Summary Revision programme rolled out in UT_

To redress public grievances at their doorsteps, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav-IAS today chaired a public grievances redressal camp organised as a part of weekly Block Diwas here at TRC MughalMaidan.



Among the others present at the event were BDC Chairperson MughalMaidan Smt Shariefa Begum, SDM Chatroo Inderjeet Singh Parihar, ACD Kishtwar Atul Dutt Sharama, DSWO Kishtwar Zubair Ahmed, CMO Kishtwar Dr Chander, XEN PWD Chatroo Er Masood Mintoo, Tehsildar Mughalmaidan Nayeem Iqbal Sheikh, CDPO Inderwal Kuldeep Kumar besides other District and sectoral officers and field functionaries of line departments.

During the event, the public and their representatives raised a number of issues and demands of their areas including macadamization of roads, upgradation of government institutions,meeting of paucity of staff, better health care facilities etc.



They demanded for upgradation of local infrastructure in the health,Education,road connectivity and other sectors.

The DC gave a patient hearing to all the issues projected by the public during the event and assured them that all their genuine concerns would be redressed in a phased manner.

Addressing the event, the DC said that the District Administration is making untiring efforts to redress the genuine concerns of the public and sought the active cooperation of all the stakeholders in this regard.



He also advised the public representatives and officers to work in tandem for the overall development of the district.
He informed the PRIs to be proactive in formulating their plans for Panchayat Solid Waste Management Plan under Swach Bharat Mission.



Talking about the measures being taken for the inclusive, all-round and substantial development of all the areas of the district, he said that much emphasis is being laid to push every sector to take the district to newer heights and new levels of prosperity.

He also urged the people to take enthusiastic participation in the ongoing Jan Abhiyan and upcoming BacK to Village Phase IV (B2V4) and make the participative democracy a grand success at grass root level.

Referring to several government schemes and programs meant for the welfare of the general public, he urged the people to come forward and avail the benefits.



Responding to the issues and demands raised by the general public, he exhorted the officers to take immediate measures to mitigate the problems of the people highlighted during the public outreach program.

He further stressed on youth to take benefit of spurring entrepreneurship initiative of Mission Youth to set up start ups.

Referring to the ongoing Summary Revision of Electoral Roll-22, DC appealed public to ensure their registration either through BLOs or directly through online mode at NVSP portal upto 25th October 2022.



Later, Deputy Commissioner also Inspected the stalls raised by various departments to exhibit the beneficiary schemes pertaining to their departments.



Meanwhile counters of CSCs were also established for onspot registration of leftout workers on e-shram portal, beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat Schemes and registration under other online schemes.



Earlier, DC Kishtwar distributed Prosthetic Aids among the Physically Disabled Persons provided by Social Welfare Department Kishtwar besides took part in the plantation drive of Forest Range Inderwal under the aegis of ongoing Jan Abhiyan.



During the programme, DC also distributed land passbooks among the landowners of Tehsil Mughalmaidan under Aapki Zameen Aapki Nigrani



Meanwhile, the DC also inspected the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) Mughal Maidan and took stock of the facilities available for girls Students.

He also interacted with the students and enquired about the learning gaps and the facilities provided to them.
