District Ayush kishtwar braces up for 8th International Day of Yoga celebrations

District Ayush kishtwar braces up for 8th International Day of Yoga celebrations

hosted Yoga Session at BVM Kishtwar and Kidzee kishtwar

Kishtwar: June 2,2022.

On the guidelines of the Ministry of Ayush Govt of India and under the guidance of the worthy Director Ayush UT of Jammu and Kashmir, Dr Mohan Singh, the Department of AYUSH Kishtwar in collaboration with the District Administration kishtwar today intensified the preparedness for the 8th International Day of Yoga celebration i,e. 21st June 2022 in the District.



In this regard,two mega events on Yoga and allied activities were hosted in two schools namely Bhartiya Vidya Mandir kishtwar and Kidzee kishtwar wherein about 1200 students participated along with the school staff.



The Yoga Therapist Anil Thakur in the presence of Dr Taraq Hussain District Nodal officer AYUSH Kishtwar, Medical officer Dr Atul, Sr. pharmacist Raj Kumar and Nitin Kumar demonstrated various Yog Asanas and pranayamas for the wellbeing and healthy life style of the students in general.



During these yoga sessions some very useful and beneficial Yoga Asanas and Pranayam techniques were shared which were highly appreciated and liked by the students and the Staff.

Pertinent to mention here that the Department of Ayush kishtwar is going to conduct total of 7 such programmes/Yoga sessions in collaboration with various private and public sector, Schools Armed forces and NGO’s etc. in comming days in view of ensuing International Day of Yoga viz a viz 21st June 2022.



In addition to this the Department of Ayush kishtwar has hosted various health checkup camps, awareness programmes under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrut Mohatsava for the last one year.
Besides Yogi Anil Thakur has disseminated the awareness of yoga particularly in the most far off places in the recent years under the supervision of the Nodal officer AYUSH Kishtwar.
