Kishtwar Administration finalises arrangements for smooth Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations at Kishtwar

The district administration Kishtwar today finalized the arrangements for the upcoming auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

In a joint meeting of officers from different line departments and members of the Shoura Committee, the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav (IAS) discussed and finalized the arrangements.

At the outset, the Shoura Committee apprised the chair about various demands related to the smooth conduct of the upcoming Eid celebrations in the district.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned departments to put everything in place well before time and assigned duties to them and asked for utmost dedication and sincerity to ensure the event is celebrated smoothly.

SSP Kishtwar informed in the meeting that fool proof security arrangements have been put in the place to ensure the smooth and safe celebration of festival.

Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner also directed officers to ensure the availability of adequate drinking water, power, mutton, poultry, ration, LPG, and other essential items in markets.

The meeting also discussed arrangements for transport,traffic regulation, security, and cleaning drives around mosques and shrines.

The designated enforcement teams were asked to conduct frequent market checkings throughout this week to ensure that no sub-standard articles are sold in the market.

Additionally, necessary directions were given to the Fire & Emergency Services and Health department to ensure their services.

The excise authorities have been directed to enforce a dry day in the district on the occasion to prevent any untoward incidents or violations of the law.

The Deputy Commissioner extended Eid greetings to the people and urged them to follow COVID-19 SOPs during the festival.

The meeting was attended by senior superintendent of Police Khalil Poswal, Aditional Deputy commissioner Inderjeet Singh Parihar, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Varunjeet Singh Chark, Administrator Auqaf Zakir Hussain Wani, Assistant Commissioner Development Sunil Bhutyal ,Tehsildar Kishtwar besides members of Majlis-e- Shoura and other district officer of PWD, Jal Shakti, PDD, Health, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Fire and Emergency, legal Metrology.
