DDC Kishtwar holds deliberations to finalise the CAPEX plan for fiscal year 2022-23

With an aim to finalise the Capex plan for the financial year 2022-23, District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today chaired meeting with concerned district officers and held a number of deliberations here at his office chamber.
The meeting was attended by ADDC,Kishtwar Sham Lal, Joint Director planning Mohd Iqbal,ACD Kishtwar Atul Dutt Sharma,DPO Kishtwar Sunil Bhutyal, ACP Kishtwar Zakir Hussain Wani,XEns besides other district and sectoral officers of key departments.
During the meeting, the District Development Commissioner Kishtwar reviewed the status of the formulation of capex plan for the next fiscal year.
He emphasized all the concerned officers that the CAPEX plan should reflect the needs and priorities of the people. He said that the plan must be formulated as per the wishes of the people.
He furthermore stressed for the optimum utilization of funds besides exhorted upon the officers to prioritize the nature of work to be taken up during the next fiscal year in complete conformity with the actual requirements on ground thereby avoid any wastefully expenditure.
Besides, he stressed for the formulation of a multilayer perspective plan that will yield maximum to the public benefit.He also asked for projecting only those works/projects which are free from any disputes/litigations and that could be completed within this financial year.
Stressing the district officers to work in collective and collaborative manner he maintained that the coordination among the allied departments is instrumental for ensuring that the plan is implementable.
Various other aspects were also discussed during the meeting and it was decided that the works programme/plan shall be submitted by Monday (14th March 2022) for further course of action.
Meanwhile, DDC Kishtwar also reviewed the function of the Jal Shakti Department and took stock of the progress in the Implementaion of various water Supply system taken up in the last year.
He directed the XEn PHE to speed up the pace of work on various ongoing Water Supply schemes to ensure their completion in stipulated time.
Laying stress on the 100 percent saturation of the unconnected habitations in the district,he stressed to project the new Water Supply schemes under Jal Shakti project in the coming FY.
while reviewing the status of the availability of the water supply in the town Kishtwar and its peripheral areas, DDC Kishtwar directed XEn PHE to augment the water supply to the water stressed areas to mitigate the water crisis during the ensuing summer season.
Besides, XEn PHE was directed to weed out the illegal water connections in the district to streamline the deficiency of the water in district besides directed to rationalize the staff posting to improve the working of the department.
All the AEEs and JEs of Jal Shakti Department were directed to regularly monitor the execution of the ongoing works so that the adequate water supply to the targeted areas is ensured by completing these WSS in set time.
