DC Kishtwar inspects Fair Price Shops in Panchayat Lachdayaram A & B of Kishtwar to assess quality of service

_Also conducted an interaction with PRIs & locals of the panchayats and listened their grievances_

As a part of Azadi Ka Amrit mahotsav celebration and under the ongoing Good Governance Week celebration themed around “Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur” today Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav-IAS conducted surprise inspection of Fair Price Shops in the Panchayats Viz. Lachdayaram A & B in the suburb of Town Kishtwar.



During the visit, the DC Kishtwar checked the available and required infrastructure, Ration stock, quality control measures adopted by the FPS, type of service delivery at FPS and transparency as well as grievance redressal mechanism implemented on the ground level.



The Deputy Commissioner thoroughly checked the method of ration distribution to beneficiaries through Aadhar based Point of Sale (PoS) machines.

Besides DC Kishtwar also interacted with benificaries and enquired from them about the facilities/services provided by Department.The PRIs and beneficiaries expressed satisfaction over the working of department.



Concerned TSO Kishtwar Moti Lal informed the DC that people are getting their entitled ration as per rate and scale under various departmental schemes i.e., NFSA, PMGKAY etc.

Meanwhile,Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar also conducted an interaction with PRIs and locals of the panchayat and listened to their grievances.

After patient hearing,he assured them that their grievances will be taken up with the concerned authorities and resolved on priority.



Speaking on the occasion,DC Kishtwar called upon all the PRIs to strengthen the revenue generation in panchayats besides appealed locals to co-operate with PRIs and administration and maintain cleanliness in the Panchayats.



Responding to the issue raised by locals about the water Scarcity,the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar said that like other panchayats these two Panchayats have been covered under the Jal Jeevan Mission which envisages the tap water connection to each household by 2024 and household water supply be available soon.



Various issues pertaining to the Black topping of road and proper drainage system besides rationalisation of ECCO fare in the area were also discussed by locals with DC Kishtwar.

DC Kishtwar assured for time bound redressal of their grievances.
