The Government Model Higher Secondary School Girls Kishtwar received a significant boost to its infrastructure as it inaugurated its new Smart Science Laboratories constructed under District Capex 2022-23, with the august presence of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav (IAS) and other senior officials.
Besides,the event was attended by the CEO Kishtwar Sudarshan Sharma, Executive Engineer R&B Rabinder Kumar, DIO Kishtwar Kuldeep Kumar, and other officials.
The school authorities expressed their appreciation for the district administration’s initiative, which marks a significant milestone in the education sector of Kishtwar district.
Speaking on the occasion DC Kishtwar said that with the latest launch, GHSS Girls is well on its way to becoming a Model School in Kishtwar. The addition of a Reading Hub (library) along with smart science labs and upgraded infrastructure, highlights the school’s commitment to providing a well-rounded and quality education to its students. Moreover, with the upcoming launch of an indoor sports stadium, the school is taking significant steps towards fostering physical fitness and sports education among its students.
These developments are commendable and are expected to have a positive impact on the students’ academic and overall development, he added.
The provision of smart science laboratories to GHSS Girls is a commendable step towards facilitating better learning opportunities for STEM students. During his visit, Dr. Yadav held a meeting with the school staff and executive agencies, including EXEN, AEE R&B, and others, to discuss various aspects related to the development and improvement of the school infrastructure and facilities.
In his address, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need for providing quality education and modern facilities to the students.
He expressed his happiness over the inauguration of Smart Science labs in the school, which will provide students with a better learning environment and help them excel in their studies.
Dr. Yadav interacted with the CEO Kishtwar Sudarshan Kumar Sharma and incharge Principal K L Sharma to discuss the various challenges faced by the school and find ways to overcome them.
