Mission Youth:DC Kishtwar inaugurates 2 Days,Cricket Trial & Coaching Sessions for U/14 & U/17 Cricketers (Boys & Girls) of District Kishtwar
About 400 Young cricketers took part in the sessions with great enthusiasm and passion
10-15 Young cricketers selected in the trials sessions will be given free coaching by the sponsored cricket academies in the UT, informed DC Kishtwar

As a part of Mission Youth activities, District Administration Kishtwar in Collaboration with Youth Services & Sports Department Kishtwar today organised a 2 days long Cricket Trial & Coaching Sessions for budding crickets of district Kishtwar of the age group of under 14 years & under 17 years Boys & Girls here at Chowgan Ground Kishtwar.
The Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav IAS who was Chief guest on the occasion inaugurated the session in presence of District Youth Services and sports Officer Kharati Lal Sharma,staff of YSS, Guest coaches including Ranji Trophy Batsman, Shubham Khajuria; Ranji Trophy Bowler, Akash Choudhary; Strength and Conditioning coach, Sunny Verma besides participating Youth cricketers.
At the outset, the Chief guest and the guest coaches were welcomed by DYSSO Kishtwar Kharati Lal Sharma by presenting the bouquet of flowers.
Speaking on the occasion,Deputy Commissioner termed the session as the golden opportunity at the door step for the budding Cricketers (Boys and girls) wherein they can acquaint themselves with various techniques and know how to play a professional cricket.
He appealed to the age specific budding and aspiring Cricketers to adopt and adept for the professionalism of the game.
DC Kishtwar thanked the Ranji trophy Players and fitness coach of UT for their support to district administration for conducting such sessions in district Kishtwar for the first time to carve out the best and talented cricketers for further coaching and training at higher platforms.
Informing on the occasion,the Deputy Commissioner said that the 10-15 Young cricketers who will be selected in the trials sessions will be given free coaching by the sponsored academies in the UT wherein their talent will be honed and shaped up by renowned coaches of UT so that they can pursue the game as a profession.
This will open up a wide range of opportunities and would help them in excelling in the game of cricket, he added.
Later, during the session the Boys and Girls were given demonstrations by the experts on various techniques and tips of professional cricket and game fitness wherein about 400 boys and girls besides the sports teachers and staff of YSS got benefitted from the guidance session.
The trails and coaching sessions were carried out by Ranji Trophy Batsman Shubham Khajuria, Ranji Trophy Bowler Akash Choudhary, Sunny Verma a Strength and Conditioning coach.
The trails and coaching sessions will continue on tomorrow also wherein the aspiring cricket players will be shared with more valuable coaching tips and techniques of the game .
Lunch was also provided to all the participants on the occasion by the district administration Kishtwar.
