DC Kishtwar holds introductory meeting with officers of line Departments

_Discussed on the Key area of Development like Implementation of Nasha Mukt J&K,GI Tagging of Saffron and marketing linkage, on-going developmental and languishing projects, development of tourism sector on convergence mode and ensuring critical infrastructure projects like road and telecom connectivity in remote locations on priority_

After assuming the charge as Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav (IAS) today chaired the marathon of meetings with the District and sectoral officers of Key departments here in the conference Hall DC office complex Kishtwar and took a review of the achievements in the implementation of various ongoing Developmental projects and welfare schemes in the district.



The meeting was attended by ADDC Kishtwar Sham Lal,ADC Kishori Lal Sharma,Joint Director Planning Mohd Iqbal,ACR Varunjeet Singh Charak,ACP Zakir Hussain Wani, SDM Chatroo Inderjeet Parihar,SDM Marwah Dr Mohsin Raza,SDM Paddar Dr Rishi Sharma, ACD Kishtwar Atul Dutt Sharma,DPO Sunil Bhutyal besides other District and sectoral officers of key departments.



At the outset, DC welcomed all the District and sectoral Officers present in the meeting and took an introduction of all of them.

Meanwhile JD-planning Mohd Iqbal gave a detailed power point presentation of the physical and financial status of various ongoing mega projects undertaken in various sectors like wise Health, Education, PMDP, MGNREGA, PMGSY, PWD,PDD,PHE Agriculture, Horticulture etc in the District.



DC Kishtwar while taking sector wise review of various departments, stressed to focus on the core areas of development and asked the officers to work in synergy to improve the performances under these sectors.

He stressed the concerned departments to ensure the completion of the developmental projects particularly in the far flung areas/snow bound areas in time bound manner in view of the short working season there.



Further, he stressed all the district and sectoral officers to make concrete and coordinated efforts in making a Nasha Mukht District by generating mass awareness about the menace.



While reviewing the agriculture sector he asked the concerned officers to ensure GI Tagging of Saffron and ensure marketing linkage to give a wider platform for farmers to sell and market their products.

Stressing on timely completion of iconic projects and Languishing works, he stressed upon the concerned Executing agencies to mobilise resources on the work site besides to ensure cent percent utilisation of funds.



To achieve tangible results in the health and education sectors he enjoined upon all the concerned to start usage of existing infrastructure created in school & health buildings for facilitating better healthcare and education services in the District.



Speaking in the meeting, he said that district has a greater potential for tourism which needs to be tapped in through integrated model in convergence with handloom, handicraft schemes, Mission Youth, FPO Cooperatives and SRLM livelihood mission.



He further stressed for development of Critical infrastructure projects like road connectivity to areas like Marwah, Dachhan etc. and strengthen telecom connectivity in remote locations so that balanced,equitable and sustainable development is achieved in District without any delay.



Earlier, DC Kishtwar conducted a surprise inspection of all the sections of his office and enquired about the functioning of these sections and asked all to work with utmost dedication for the deliverance of public services efficiently.
