DC Kishtwar finalizes the arrangement for Holy month of Ramadan

To finalise the arrangements for ensuing Holy month of Ramadan, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav IAS today chaired a meeting of concerned Officers of service delivery Departments, Iman Jamia Masjid (Majlis-e-Shourah) besides other religious representatives here at his Office Chamber Kishtwar.




ADC Kishtwar Kishori Lal Shrama, ASP Kishtwar Rajinder Singh, ACR Kishtwar Varunjeet Singh Charak,CAHO Dr. Sanjay Sen, AD FCS & CA Shafqat Keen,Tehsildar Kishtwar Muneeb Umar, AEEs of Jal Shakti besides other concerned Officers, Iman Jamia Masjid (Majlis-e-Shourah) besides other representatives were present in the meeting.

The representatives of the religious, social organizations asked for uninterrupted water and power supply, adequate security arrangements, better sanitation and strict check on quality and rates of essential commodities during the Holy occasions.




The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers of all concerned departments to work in a synergized manner for the convenience the common people.

Stressing on the need of uninterrupted power and water supply particularly in the morning and night hours across the district, DC directed AEE JPDCL and EXEN Jal Shakti to take adequate measures in this regard.Jal Shakti Department was instructed to complete the desilting in all the water reservoirs by week’s of time and ensure the leakage of pipelines is repaired.




He further directed the concerned heads of public service departments to ensure availability of all requisite and essential commodities on prescribed rates.

AD, Food supplies was directed to ensure adequate availability of food stock & LPG in the district so that public may not face any shortage during holy month.




Emphasizing the cleanliness/sanitation, instructions were issued to the Executive Officer, Municipality Kishtwar and all BDOs to launch cleanliness drive around religious places in the town and rural areas.

DC further directed Tehsildar Kishtwar, SHO, TSO, Legal Metrology to constitute joint teams and checking squads and intensify the market checking and take strict action against the hoarders and black marketers.




ACR and his team were directed to conduct meeting and fix the rates of Mutton, Chicken, fruits and Vegetables.

DC further impressed upon the officers of police and traffic department to ensure the effective traffic Management in the township.




All the Rhedis and unauthorised stalls to be removed by Tehsildar Kishtwar within next 3 days, instructed DC Kishtwar.
