DC Kishtwar discusses arrangements for the celebration of Independence Day 2022
Enjoined upon all the departments to intensify the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign under the Azadi ka Amrut India@75 celebration in the district
Deputy Commissioner (DC ) Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma today chaired a meeting of line departments and other stakeholders to discuss the arrangements for the celebration of Independence Day-2022 and promoting “Har Ghar Tiranga” Campaign in the district here at conference Hall DC Office complex Kishtwar.
In the meeting, it was informed that the Independence Day 2022 celebration will be held across the district Kishtwar with great patriotic Zeal and national fervor this year. The main function will be held at the district headquarter in Kishtwar and also the National Day celebrations will also be observed at the Sub-Division, Block, and Tehsil levels besides in all the Educational and Govt institutions.
The Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar directed the district heads of different departments to ensure their presence as well as their subordinate officers and officials on the Independence Day function both at the district headquarter as well as SDM, Tehsil and Block levels.
It was decided in the meeting that the venue for the main I-Day function shall be finalized in the next meeting. Meanwhile, the arrangements of the Shehnai Vadan, flag Hoisting, National Anthem, March past, display of Cultural items, invitation making, sitting arrangements, stage setting, and Venue preparation and refreshment for the I-Day celebration were threadbare discussed in the meeting.
Besides, necessary directions were given to concerned officers to ensure that the foolproof security arrangements, barricading, drinking water and power supply, sanitation, fire services, transport, traffic regulation, illumination of government buildings, and other necessary arrangements are placed at a time in the venue of the national day function.
The Deputy commissioner assigned the responsibilities to different departments regarding the extensive arrangements to be placed for the I-D celebration in the District headquarters. He directed the concerned officers to work in synergy and put in sincere efforts to make the National function a grand success.
Various committees were constituted to ensure that the arrangements are made well in time in an effective and coordinated manner. CEO Kishtwar and other District officers were directed to furnish the list of meritorious students and officials/employees with exemplary works with brief descriptions/notes from their departments who will be felicitated on the eve of the I-Day celebration.
During the meeting, the senior officers of the Army, Civil and Police administration besides other stakeholders gave valuable suggestions to make the I-Day celebration a grand event in the district. Besides, the modalities for the implementation of the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign in the district will be observed from 13th Aug to 15th August 2022 under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav-India@75 was also discussed in the meeting.
The DC informed that the district has met the demand of about 31,000 flags and he stressed upon the RDD department who is the nodal agency for the campaign to make all-out efforts to ensure the successful implementation of the Campaign in the district by ensuring the raising of National Flag on each house from 13th to15th August 2022.
The DC enjoined all stakeholders to ensure that every citizen goes through the Flag Code and follows Standard protocol to honor the National Flag. He also informed that one can “Pin a flag” virtually at https://harghartiranga.com along with posting a selfie with a flag on the site.
Regarding the “Singing of National Anthem” competition, DC Kishtwar instructed the designated officers/officials to make sincere efforts and share the link https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScoHGJFJD4ngdnkgNZjPU-ZtGKuN0bdSMuARL5dqXMxm6tsCw/viewform among the citizens/students so that they can upload their video on singing National Anthem under three sub-categories viz 13-18 yrs (individual) , above 18 yrs age (Individual) and in group category before 7th August 2022.
Meanwhile, Principal GDC Kishtwar was asked to rope in NCC and NSS volunteers and conduct a “Special Sanitation-cum-awareness Drive” in collaboration with Municipal Council Kishtwar at various public places to sensitize the locals about the Cleanliness Habits and “Ban on single-use plastic” initiative of GOI.
The meeting was attended by ASP Kishtwar Rajinder Singh, JD Planning Mohd Iqbal, ACD Kishtwar Atul Dutt Sharma, DPO Kishtwar Sunil Bhutyal, DFO Kishtwar Sagar Singh, DFO Marwah Vijay Kumar, senior Officers of CISF, CRPF besides other District officers and representatives of the concerned department.
