DC Kishtwar holds Public Grievance Redressal Camp at Panchayat Sranwan, block Thakraie

Continuing the efforts to take Administration to the doorsteps of the people to propel the development mission to saturate the requirements of general public, the Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav-IAS today presided over the Grievance Redressal Camp held at Panchayat Sranwan of block Thakraie.
The camp was organised and managed by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj in collaboration with GHS Sranwan.
Among others, the grievance redressal Camp was attended by DSWO Zubair Ahmed, Tehsildar Kishtwar Umar Muneeb, BDO Inderwal/Thakraie Tasleem Javaid Wani,CMO Kishtwar Dr Chander Prakash, CAHO Dr Sanjay Kumar, ExEn PMGSY Kishtwar Mohinder Singh,ExEn PDD Altaf Hussain, Headmaster and staff of GHS Sranwan besides other District and sectoral officers and field functionaries of line departments.
Besides scores of people from adjoining area also participated in the grievance redressal camp.
On the occasion, the local people, PRI members put forth their Developmental demands and issues confronted by them regarding infrastructural and road connectivity needs besides individual beneficiary schemes and issues related to the public departments.
While projecting the grievances of public interest before the Deputy Commissioner,the PRIs highlighted the grievances related to the water crisis at Sranwan and adjoining villages,maintenance of road,replacement of wooden electrical poles, shortage of staff in GHS Sranwan and HWC Sranwan, pending land compensation of Shiv Nagar road,Solar lights etc.
They also demanded for new ration cards for newly households, link road from Sirgwari to SheikhPora, sanctioning of new Govt Primary School at Ward no. 7 Sheikpora, upgradation of GHS Srawan to GHSS Sranwan,Conduct of old age pension camps and awareness camps by Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Department at Sranwan,Construction of Panchayat Ghar.
Responding to the demands and grievances raised by people, DC assured that all those issues shall be resolved in time bound manner.
DC Kishtwar resolved many grievances on the spot with the intervention of the concerned officers of line departments.
Responding to grievance of old age pension seeker, DC Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav urged the beneficiaries and PRIs to ensure registration of beneficiaries through online portals.
He also cleared concern of people about new ration cards.While dispelling concern regarding new ration cards, he said that government has notified the census 2011 as base for inclusion of households in the new ration card and until new guideline is issued same shall be followed.
Deputy Commissioner also informed that Jal Jeevan Mission, is envisioned to provide safe and adequate drinking water through individual household tap connections by 2024 to all households in rural India and that Water Supply Scheme for Sranwan has also been tendered out and soon the work shall be started to ensure water connectivity for village.
The DC appreciated the people for the active participation in the Grievance Redressal camps, which he called a viable and much need requirement for progress of the area.
Also, the Land Passbooks were distributed among the legal land owners of the Panchayat Sranwan on the occasion by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar.
Further, he also issued direction to the officers of various departments including social welfare, revenue and district administration for addressing the grievances of locals at the earliest besides directed for conduct of awareness Camps.
Meanwhile DC also laid the foundation stone for the construction of Community Sanitary Complex of RDD at High School Sranwan.
DC Kishtwar along CMO Kishtwar,BDO Thakraie,Tehsildar Kishtwar visited Health and wellness Centre Sranwan and inspected the functionals and patient care there.
He also visited and interacted with the public of ward Gorsa of panchayat Sranwan and enquired about their problems and issued.He assured for immediate resolution of their issues.
Earlier, Deputy Commissioner along with SDM Chhatroo Inderjeet Singh Parihar,Tehsildar Mughal Maidan Nayeem Iqbal Sheikh and CMO Kishtwar Dr Chander Prakash Visited family of lady who owed post maternal death at District Hospital Kishtwar and paid condolence and extended sympathies with the bereaved family.
DC Kishtwar handed over the baby kit to the family members for newly born baby and also announced Rs 30000 as relief amount.
