Fire ablazed the residential house of Mohd Hanief S/O Mohd Hussain of Naunatu area of Block Nagseni,district Kishtwar this afternoon which engulfed an 08 year old child named Mohd Irfan and 05 animals of the family.
After receiving the information, DC Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav (IAS) along with SSP Kishtwar Khalil Poswal (JKPS),CMO Kishtwar DR. M Y Mir ,DySP Head Quarter Ashish Gupta ,SHO Kishtwar Abid Bikhari rushed to the spot and took stock of the situation.
ASI PS Padyarna, Red Cross Team ,Fire and Emergency Service took control of the situation.Local youth and PRIs played a pivotal role in the process.
Senior officers interacted with the family members and expressed grief over the loss and assured for all possible help to the fire affected family members from the district administration.
DC Kishtwar on spot handed over the cheque of Rs 20,000 as immediate Relief for fire Victims.
After post-mortem and completing all formalities, the body was handed over to family members .
DC Kishtwar said that though the loss is irreparable but administration stands with family in this tough time.
The cause of the fire is not known yet and further investigation has been initiated.
Tehsildar Nagseni was directed to immediately submit a loss assessment report so that ex gratia relief will be provided for loss of life and property under SDRF as per norms.
