- Weekly Block Diwas/Grievance Redressal Camp held across the district Kishtwar
DC Kishtwar Ashok Sharma listens the grievances of people at various places of far flung block Bounjwah, redressed many grievanaces onspot

To reach out to the common people in the rural areas of the district to address their grievances, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Ashok Sharma (JKAS) today undertook an extensive tour of remote and hilly area of Kishtwar district and presided over the block diwas/Public Grievance Redressal Camp at various places viz Tipri Pashalla and Devigool area of Block Bounjwah under weekly Block Diwas programme.
DDC councilor Bounjwah Amiena Banoo, Assistant Commissioner Development Kishtwar Atul Dutt Sharma ,Tehsildar Bounjwah Irshad Ahmed Butt, Block Development Officer Sobia Fatima,DYSSO Kishtwar Kharati Lal Sharma,ZEO Drbshalla besides Engineers of the District Administration were present in the Public Grievance Redressal Camp.
During the Grievance Redressal Camp, PRI representatives, Public delegations and scores of individuals from the adjoining Panchayats projected various issues and demands before the DC which were mainly related to upgradation of local infrastructure of road connectivity,health, Education,water and power besides tourism sectors.
After giving patient hearing to the grievances and demands of the public, the DC sought on the spot response from the concerned District Officers present during the Grievance Redressal Camp.
He also assured the people of the Block that all genuine demands and issues projected by them will be taken up with concerned authorities on priority.
The DC also stressed the concerned officers for time bound redressal of the public issues.
Speaking on the occasion DC Kishtwar also urged the PRIs to share the list of un-electrified habitations of their areas if any, so that the same shall be covered under relevant schemes.
Besides DC kishtwar also apprised the locals about the various WSS taken under Jal Jeevan Miasion in the area and said that each house will be provided tap water facility in timely manner under the JJ Mission.
While giving awareness regarding the Amrit Sarovar,golden card and other welfare schemes, he urged upon the people to come forward and avail the benifit of these schemes.
On the occasion, the local people expressed their gratitude to the District Administration Kishtwar for holding Block Diwas in this far flung areas.
Later, the DC Kishtwar along with other officers inspected GHSS Binoon and looked in the functioning of school.He checked attendence register,enquired staff position,besides interacted with students.
Responding to the demand of students regarding shortage of lecturers in the school,he assured them that issue will be taken up with CEO Kishtwar and staff will be provided on rational basis.
Enroute, DC Kishtwar also inspected execution works of Power grid station at Jwalapur.
Showing displeasure,DC Kishtwar directed the executing agency to start the work immediately on said grid and take strict action against the defaulting contractors.
Meanwhile,the absence of some of the district officers in the block diwas programme has been viewed seriously and they have been asked by DC kishtwar to explain their position before action is initiated against them.
At block Inderwal, similar Block Diwas programme was Convened at Village Khawara of Panchayat Chingam B under the personal supervision of SDM Chatroo Inderjeet Parihar.

BDO Inderwal Tasleem Javaid Wani,Officials from various Deptts and PRIs also attended the programme.
Dozens of Grievances of residents of Khawara were redressed on the spot and SDM Chatroo along with BDO Inderwal also inspected Govt Middle School Pahalgowara.
Officials from different Departments also raised awareness with regard to Govt Schemes.
Similar Block Diwas programme was held today at Panchayat Jar of Block Paddar under the personal supervision of SDM Paddar Dr. Rishi Kumar.
BDC Chairman Paddar Arpan Singh Rana and Tehsildar Atholi Rohit Kumar & other Officers/Officials and PRIs also attended the programme.
Number of Grievances of residents of Pyt. Jar were redressed on the spot. The SDM Paddar ,BDC Chairmen along with Tehsildar, and ZEO Paddar also inspected Govt Schools.
All the Officers/Officials of different Departments were instructed to give the awareness to the people with regard to Govt Schemes running by their respective Departments.
Besides this, the Link road Tatapani to Jar was also inspected and number of structure owners were also asked to remove the structures from the road alignment.
