Weekly Block Diwas: DC Kishtwar listens to the grievances of people at Sarthal

_Assured for time bound redressal of grievances and timely completion of development projects_

Kishtwar, September 21:

With an aim to redress the grievances of people at their door step, the weekly Block Diwas proceedings were held today here at HS Sarthal of Block Trigam, wherein Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav (IAS) in presence of BDC chairman, Trigam, Sri Chand and DDC member, Om Prakash listened to the grievances of the people.



ACR Kishtwar Varunjeet Singh Charak,ACD Kishtwar Atul Dutt Sharma, DSWO Zubair Ahmed,CMO Dr Chander Prakash, Tehsildar Kishtwar Pramood kumar,BDO Trigam Firdous Kamal besides other District and sectoral officers and field functionaries of various departments remained present.



The programme was coordinated by Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj in collaboration with other line departments.



Scores of people and PRIs from adjacent panchayats thronged the Block Diwas programme.

On the occasion, individuals and public deputations led by PRIs highlighted their issues ranging from provisions of Basic Amenities like Water, Electricity and Road connectivity, besides issues of shortage of staff in Schools, Employment of Youth in locals Hydroelectric Power Project and several specific other issues.



After listening to the issues of the locals, the Deputy Commissioner redressed many grievances on the spot by passing a slew of directions to the concerned officers. He assured the public that all their genuine grievances shall be redressed in a time bound manner.



The DC directed the officers to work in tandem to achieve equitable development of rural areas.

The concerned officers also addressed the public and assured early redress of their issues.



During the programme the stalls were installed by various departments to disseminate the awareness to people about the various welfare schemes and Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan.



On the issue of slow pace of roads and construction works, the Deputy Commissioner expressed hope that the development works will see faster progress after the physical and financial encumberances will be removed in coordination with the concerned authorities.



The DC Kishtwar in his address also gave a special thrust upon the people and PRIs to avail the benefit by participating in Amnesty scheme of PDD and Ayushman Bharat scheme.



He appealed the PRIs and masses to join hand with administration and actively participate in the Nasha Mukht JK Abhiyan besides help the administration in identifying the drug victims in each Panchayat so that this menace is wiped out completely from the district.

He further appealed all PRIs and common masses to take part in special Gram Sabhas to be held on 2nd Oct 2022 regarding the formulation of Gram Panchayat Development Plan in respective panchayats.



He called upon the RDD officers to take all the stakeholders on board through participatory development to achieve the objective of sustainable development.

Special skits on the “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” and “say no single use Plastic” were presented by school students on the occasion.

Meanwhile DC Kishtwar alongwith concerned officers also inspected chandali road and directed the Tehsildar and Concerned ExEn to work in collaboration to resolve the impediments so that the road is completed in time frame manner which is the life line of the far flung area.



Enroute, Deputy Commissioner visited holy shrine of Shree Sarthal Mata and paid obeisance there.

He also interacted with members of management committee and listened to their grievances.

He assured them for redressal of their grievances on priority.
