Principal Secretary to Govt , Culture (UT J&K) Sh. Suresh Kumar Gupta (IFS) today presided over the mega Public Darbar at Sarthal area of District Kishtwar and listened to the grievances of people besides gracing the ground audition under the Kishtwar Idol season 2.0 Singing competition, there. Addressing the concerns of the community, Principal Secretary Suresh Kumar (IFS) actively engaged with the public wherein the public representatives of various panchayats of Sarthal area put forth the demands and concerns of respective areas.
The event saw the participation of key figures, including Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav IAS,ACD Kishtwar Phulail Singh,CPO Kishtwar Shahnawaz Bali and various other district and sectoral officers including CEO ,CMO, DSWO, DPO, Tehsildar Kishtwar, DIO Kishtwar, BDO Trigam,ExEn PWD, ExEn Jal Shakti,AEE PDD besides others.Scores of locals of adjoining areas of Sarthal,Ghan,Karool thronged the Public Darbar wherein representatives took the opportunity to emphasize essential issues and demands, ranging from upgradation of local infrastructure and assessing the public service deliverance mechanism.Other highlighted concerns encompassed the delimitation of Sarthal Block on priority, employment in the Ratle HEP, and the upgradation of public infrastructure including roads and bridges at required places.
The public also voiced their aspirations for improved facilities in HSS Sarthal and NT-PHC Sarthal by ensuring adequate staff and infrastructure.Addressing the gathering, Principal Secretary underscored the paramount importance of the public Darbar, stating that its primary objective is to ensure that the grievances of people are redressed at their door step besides every individual reaps the benefits of welfare and developmental schemes.He urged the public to actively engage with the district administration to elevate the development profile of the district. Emphasizing the pivotal role of joint effort between the District Administration and the community, he highlighted that various developmental works will be taken up as per the guidelines of govt.
Assuring a prompt resolution of issues, Sh. Suresh Kumar IFS stated that concerns raised during the Darbar would be examined and addressed expeditiously in consultation with concerned administrators.He highlighted that many concerns had already been addressed by the relevant administrator.
Principal Secretary appreciated the “Hello Kishtwar ” initiative taken by District Administration Kishtwar spearheaded by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav IAS wherein the IVRS system records the grievances of people on phone and assured the time-bound redressal thereof for the easiness of poor people of far flung areas.He encouraged the masses to utilize the facility effectively.
Discussing the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), Principal Secretary emphasized masses and farmers to benefit from schemes offering heavily subsidized credit-linked options besides encouraged farmers to leverage HADP schemes for hi-tech farming and allied sector practices to enhance their income manifolds.He encouraged public representatives and district officers to disseminate the awareness about the welfare schemes among masses for greater benefits.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar outlined the progress of the District Administration to redress the grievances of people at their door. He further shared positive updates including the transparency in employment of land losers in the Hydropower Project (HEPP) and the approved RR plan for the Ratle HEP, fostering infrastructure development including roads dedicated for the Sarthal area. He announced that 200 mtrs of damaged WSS Agral will be repaired soon and updated that the measures for the judicious rationalisation of staff in NTPC Sarthal will be done promptly in consultation with the Health Department to address community needs. The Deputy Commissioner also threw light on the Scholarship Schemes meant for ST Students.
Meanwhile,the Principal Secretary, alongside dignitaries, inspected department stalls and interacted with the officers and officials of the various departments and enquired the status of the benefit extended to the eligible beneficiaries.Alongside the public Darbar, the Principal Secretary along with the DC Kishtwar and other officers inaugurated the Ground Audition at HSS Sarthal for local singers of Sarthal under the Kishtwar Idol season 2 launched by District Administration Kishtwar for local singers of Kishtwar.
The chief guest encouraged the participants to showcase their talent and appreciated the District Administration Kishtwar for launching such a platform for local singers to showcase their talent and the support provided to them for unleashing their careers.
He announced that the Winners of Kishtwar Idol Season 1 & season 2 will be felicitated at UT level by the Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL).
