Kishtwar Development Authority launches adventurous activities at Chowgan Ground Kishtwar
Kishtwar June 3rd,2022.
To harness the adventure potential and revive tourism sector in Kishtwar District,Kishtwar Development Authority (KDA) today launched adventure and sports activities here at Chowgan ground Kishtwar.
The event was inaugurated by District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma (JKAS) in presence of CEO, KDA InderJeet Parihar ,ACR Kishtwar Varunjeet Singh Charak, Tehsildar Kishtwar Pramood Kumar, staff of KDA besides local residents here at Chowgan ground Kishtwar.
In this event,Zorbing ball adventure was introduced on the first day and other activities including sky jumper trumpholine, paragliding etc shall be introduced in comming days.
Speaking on the occasion DDC Kishtwar appreciated KDA for introducing such novel adventurous activities besides stressed the KDA authorities that the paragliding potential of the Kishtwar shall be exploited as the district in general and township and its adjoining areas in particular has huge potential for it.
Besides he asked to explore the virgin tourism destinations in Kishtwar which have huge potential to attract adventure tourists.
He also added that these activities can act as catalyst to revive tourism besides help to revive the economy of locals.
District Development Commissioner also stated that the 21st century’s tourist are looking for new experience and Kishtwar will be one of those places that will give them the real experience that they are looking for.
Local residents, including participants, lauded this step taken by the administration as it will boost the summer tourism at Kishtwar which is famous for historical Chowgan ground and other tourist places.
