DC Kishtwar chairs the District Level Task Force meeting of Mission Youth

District Administration Kishtwar is bracing up to conduct the Block wise Self Employment Melas across District Kishtwar to disseminate the awareness of the self Employment schemes at grass root level.
It was informed by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today in a meeting of the District Level Task Force of Mission Youth here at conference Hall New DC office Complex Mini Secretariat Kishtwar.
At the outset, Officer on Special Duty Mission Youth and incharge for district Kishtwar Anoop Kumar gave a detailed account of various livelihood, skill, career & psycho-social counselling, recreation and social engagement related initiatives of Mission Youth. He apprised the DLTF about eligibility criteria, selection process, funding pattern etc under each scheme.
It was informed that a wide range of activities comes under the ambit of Mission Youth including promotion of self-employment through schemes like Tejaswini, MUMKIN, AVSAR, Rise Together, SAHYTA, development of Tourist Village network etc.
Threadbare discussions were held regarding identification of unemployed rural youth to provide them self employment opportunities offered in their field of interest.It was informed in the meeting that a database of the youth is to be prepared in the District kishtwar for which schedule of self employment Melas shall be notified.
Thereafter the mapping of identified Youths with different schemes shall be done besides facilitates for market linkages shall be established.
During the meeting the chair also review the implementation of various self employment initiatives of Mission Youth and also finalised road map for providing self employment to the unemployed youth in the district in all the self employment schemes.
The chair also apprised the task force that District Administration has identified 5 youths per panchayat to be engaged with in gainful activities earmarked under Mission Youth.
During the meeting , Deputy Commissioner also directed AD DE&CC to work in tandem with the designated Panchayat Mentors to conduct awareness programmes at each panchayat on Mission mode basis by organising Employement mela so that all the eligible and desirous youths can be saturated with the self sustained scheme of govt of UT J&K.
Furthermore chair stressed the members of DLTF committee to adopt proactive approach to disseminate the awareness of these self Employment schemes among the youths at grass root level.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Kishtwar Sham Lal, JDP Mohd Iqbal,GM DIC Khalid Hussain Malik, SDM Chhatroo/CEO KDA Inderjeet Parihar,DPO Kishtwar Sunil Bhutyal,ACP Zakir Hussain,OSD Mission Youth Anoop Kumar, LDM Nasir Ahmed, ALC Kishtwar Amit Kumar, BDOs besides other concerned.
