Enforcement team conducts checking of chemist shops in District Kishtwar

In compliance to the directions of Commissioner,FDA J&K today the team of Enforcement Officers lead by Taraq Ahmad Butt, Assistant Commissioner Food Safety (DFCO) Kishtwar visited the market at HQ Kishtwar and checked the Chemist Shops in view to determine the valid possessions of licenses/registration under Food Safety & Standards Act.
During this special drive, Enforcement team monitored the objectives of Licenses & registrations of more than 20 establishments, upon cross checking 04 chemist shops were found not to posses such documents which are mandatory under the Act & for taking adequate steps these 04 Violators who allegedly found without Registrations/licenses under FSS Act have been booked under the Act.
Moreover ,02 samples of Food supplements/ Neutraceticals have been lifted for analysis to ensure availability of Safe, Pure & standard products for the consumers and public in General.
The Chemists were imparted with the directions to keep the products away from direct Sunlight, to enforce the regulations about DOP & Expiry date & Best Before date for Consumers Safety.
During the drive the Chemist fraternity was appraised to keep the proper bills of consignments of purchased products & also provide printed vouchers to the buyers.
Besides all the Chemist Shop, qualified persons have been advised to display the Registrations/licenses at prominent/ visible places of their establishments.
