Deployment of MFTV in Distt.Kishtwar under Eat Right Challenge 2 at its final touch
With an apt approach to conceive facilities to the Consumers to provide safe, healthy & wholesome essential commodities and find out the indulgences of the malpractices, the team of the Deptt Food Safety DFCO District Kishtwar made compliance of the directions of the Commissioner FDA j&k by the wake of making proper usage of the Food Safety on wheels.
During this campaign, it is pertinent to mention that the MFTV along with a crew of Technical experts visited Distt. Kishtwar on 31st May 2022 & till date did make coverage across the length & breadth of the District, the specifications of the MFTV are to make tests of the various categories of food items on the spot to ascertain the quality & safeness as well as standard of the product.
The execution of this MFTV was monitored by Sh.Taraq Ahmad Butt Assistant Commissioner Food Safety DFCO Kishtwar including Enforcement Officers of the Deptt. including Food Safety Officer Sh.Prithpal Singh, Food Safety Officer, Sh.Sajad Hussain & Field worker Shamem Akhtar, during this span of campaign focus, was made on Surveillance Samples that too random sampling & awareness as well as training to the Food Bussiness Operators were also imparted & more importantly demonstrations were the key components awareness regarding Fortification in Mid Day Meals, ICDS and PDS were also given priority for the welfare of the public in General.
Emphasizing the initiatives & in an endeavor to combat the thwart of the adulteration during the course of executions 164 samples of different categories were tested on the spot out of which 12 samples tested to be below standard under FSSA, the same samples were lifted for analysis by the concerned Food Safety Officers instantly,08 Awareness camps & 06 training camps were organized, more significantly, the team approached the Holy Machail at Gullabgarh & earnestly implemented the provisions of the FSSA.
During this extensive process, the Food Bussiness Operators were directed to desist from the violations otherwise cognizance will come into force for the welfare of the public & countrymen as well.
