DC Kishtwar reviews progress of PMGSY in district
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today chaired a meeting to review the status of projects being executed by PMGSY in different parts of the district.
In the meeting, the Deputy commissioner was apprised about the work wise and division wise physical and financial status of all roads and bridges under PMGSY in the district.
The meeting discussed threadbare various issues and projects of PMGSY.
The DC directed the concerned executing agencies/contractors to pace up the pending execution work on these roads so that projects are completed as early as possible keeping in view the short working season of far flung areas.
Dis-satisfied on the slow pace of some contractors in the execution of works ,the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar exhorted upon them to mobilise their machinery and resources in manifolds to achive the set targets.
He further gave strict direction to Ex Ens to expedite execution on these roads as per the PERT chart,failing which stringent action shall be initiated against the erring contractors/officers.
Ex Ens PMGSY were further directed to expedite the launching of ongoing Bridges at Sazar and Chatroo before 5th August for their time bound completion.
The meeting also discussed various bottlenecks in road projects.The DC directed concerned SDMs/ACR and EX Ens to jointly visit the areas and resolve the issues early and ensure completion of all road network projects within stipulated time.
He also directed SDMs to regularly monitor all road network projects for maintaining quality and standard of works.
The meeting was attended by ADDC kishtwar Sham Lal,JD planning Mohd Iqbal, ExEn PMGSY Division Kishtwar Mohinder Kumar,Ex En Marwah Mohd Aslam Lone,Ex En PMGSY Chatroo Masood Ur Rafiq besides contractors and their Representatives.
