The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma today chaired a meeting of all concerned officers to review the progress of works under the Rural Development Department (RDD) under different heads.  At the outset, the ACD Kishtwar apprised the chair about the Block-wise physical and financial achievements made in different indicators under MGNREGA, 14FC, B2V-3 works, SBM, and PMGSY (Grameen) so far.

Threadbare discussion on the various parameters in taking up the works under 14th FC, SBM and MGNREGA, CD & panchayat were also held in the meeting. Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar stressed all the BDOs mobilize the field functionaries and technical staff to ensure the improvement in the different parameters.  Addressing the meeting, the DDC stressed upon all the concerned officers to speed up the pace of progress on all ongoing works and ensure completion of all targeted works before 31 March 2022.

 

Showing concern over the dismal progress on the online portal performance of projected works, the DDC directed all the BDOs to expedite the updation exercise on the MIS portal to avoid unwanted repercussions. He directed the BDOs to take strict action against the poor-performing field functionaries and technical staff and not to entertain a lackadaisical approach towards public works. About PMAY (G), the DDC directed BDOs to complete all sanctioned houses within this financial year besides plugging in the gaps in the installments. The meeting was attended by ADDC Kishtwar Sham Lal, ACD Kishtwar Atul Dutt Sharma, DPO Kishtwar Sunil Bhutyal,  Ex. Engineer REW, Parshotam Kumar, Sales Tax Officer Maneet Sharma, BDOs besides other concerned officers.
