DC Kishtwar listens to grievances of people at far flung area of Dachhan in weekly Block Diwas programme

To redress the grievances of people at their door step ,weekly Block Diwas programmes were today conducted at various places of district Kishtwar.

In one such programme, a mega grievance redressal camp was today organised here at Soundar Dachhan under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma in presence of various district and sectoral officers.

Among others who remained present in the programme were SDM Marwah Dr. Mohsin Raza, CAO Kishtwar S K Bhagat, DSWO Kishtwar Tariq Parveaz Qazi, DAHO kishtwar Dr. Mayan-ud-Din, ALC Kishtwar Amit Kumar,Tehsildar Dachhan besides Local PRIs, prominent persons and other district and sectoral officers.



During the programme a number of demands were raised by the delegation lead by local PRIs.

The demands mainly includes the upgradation of the local Infrastructure, employement in local HEP projects, Land compensation of the various roads etc.

They people also demanded for 3 days a week Helicopter services for Dachhan during winters on priority basis.

After giving patient hearing, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar assured them that their genuine demands/grievances will be redressed in the time bound manner besides a number of grievances were resolved on spot by passing necessary directions to the concerned district officers whereas as the rest of the issues were documented to be forwarded to the concerned for necessary action.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy commissioner Kishtwar urged PRIs to work in tandem with the designated Panchayat Mentors in abridging the gap between the people and administration and also spread awareness about welfare schemes at ground level.

He also stressed PRIs to spread mass awareness about “AAP KI ZAMEEN AAP KI NIGRANI”- the online digital platform containing digitized revenue records. He said the platform ensures easy access to land records to every citizen, which will save both their time and energy in getting their crucial revenue documents.

DC Kishtwar urged the PRIs to spread awareness among the unorganised workers including the household women and farm workers to register with the e-Shram portal to avail the various social security schemes.

During programme,Deputy Commissioner apprised the youth about various Self Employement schemes/initiatives started by Govt. and urged them to come forward and avail these initiatives besides informed that district administration will conduct the skill development programmes in the district so that Employement in HEPs is ensured.



Meanwhile, he appealed PRIs to aware the people to continue to use face mask, maintain social distancing and follow the COVID-19 Appropriate Behaviour besides to go for 2nd dose besides stressed people to registered themselve for the Golden cards.

During the programme, under Yogyata se Rozgar Mahotsav, the newly appointed panchayat Account Assistant candidates were also felicitated and DC Kishtwar congratulated them for being a part and product of transparent recruitment process carried out by the UT Govt recently.

Meanwhile, a Self Employment Mela also held side by side with Block Diwas programme at Dachhan by Labour Department Kishtwar in which 32 number of unemployed Youth registrations was done onspot.

Similar Block Diwas Programmes were also held at various blocks and tehsils across the district.
