DC Kishtwar inaugurates the Digital Skills Training under DigiSaksham at ITI Kishtwar

Kishtwar district first to organise such programme in the UT

A 6 days digital skills training in MS Excel & Python started on Monday at ITI Kishtwar.




The training is being organised under DigiSaksham, a joint digital skill initiative by Microsoft and the Ministry of Labour & Employment supported by the District Administration, DE&CC (Model Career Centre MCC – Kishtwar) & ITI Kishtwar.

The training workshop was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav (IAS) today in presence of Mr. Mandeep Dogra (Principal ITI), Mr. Waseem Khan (Employment Officer), Young Professional Vijay Yadav, Project Manager TMI Mr. Shaik Imran and Trainer Mrs. Rajni.

Around 100 candidates from across the District Kishtwrs are participating in the 6 day training. These candidates will be certified collectively by Microsoft and Ministry of Labor and Employment along with career guidance and placement opportunities.




During the session, DC Kishtwar talked about various benefits of this training programme in the contemporary era. He also encouraged the participating youth to maximize the benefits of such courses through team work.

Principal ITI addressed the youth as well and talked about the benefits of the training.

Trainer from Microsoft also briefed the guests and trainees about the programme and said that this is first time being organised in any District of the UT of JK.




It is pertinent to mention that, the training is free of cost to increase employability of unemployed aspiring youth, it provides best in class learning content from Microsoft and at the end the programme trainees will be provided with industry recognised certifications.

Besides Linkages will be established with IT industry for providing job opportunities to youths in Metro cities by NCS (National Career service).
