DC Kishtwar chairs preparatory meeting for Independence Day-2022 celebration

_Besides deliberated on the “Har Ghar Tiranga” programme and worked out the strategy for making the event a mass festival._

The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today chaired a Joint meeting of District and all sectoral officers to take stock of the preparations for smooth conduct of upcoming Independence Day, 2022 celebrations at all venues in the district.



The meeting among others was attended by ADDC Kishtwar Sham Lal; ADC (incharge) Inderjeet Singh Parihar; JD Planning,Mohd Iqbal;ACR Kishtwar Varunjeet Singh Charak;ACP Kishtwar,Zakir Hussain Wani;ACD Kishtwar Atul Dutt Sharma, Tehsildar (HQ) Chander Shekhar Sharma besides other district and Sectoral Officers.



Besides, all Tehsildars attended the meeting through virtual mode.

DC Kishtwar enjoined upon all SDMs and Tehsildars to ensure the celebration of independence day at their respective venues/headquarters with full enthusiasm and traditional gaiety.



Besides, in the meeting it was also decided that the venue for the main function shall be identified later on.

CEO Kishtwar was asked to kick-start the preparatory measures for the variety of cultural programmes to be performed by renowned local artists, and school children.



The Deputy Commissioner also called for making foolproof arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of celebrations at all venues including district headquarter.



He stressed all the district and sectoral officers to work with synergy so that the arrangements are put in place well before the Full Dress Rehearsal on 13th Aug 2022.



He emphasized on concerned officers to carry out cleanliness and sanitation drives at all locations besides making adequate security arrangements, parking facility, drinking water, proper seating arrangement, health, refreshment and other related arrangements in time.



The meeting also deliberated on the “Har Ghar Tiranga” programme and worked out the strategy for making the event a mass festival.



All the departments were asked to appoint nodal officers for requisitioning national flags and the District Sports Officer was asked to prepare pamphlets on flag code and its protocol for distribution among the civilians and institutions.
