In a first,Youth of Panchayt Upper-Palmar today got Turf Cricket Pitch developed under MGNREGA which was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav (IAS) on his day long tour to the area.
During his tour,DC Kishtwar was accompanied by BDC chairman Lalita Devi, DDC member Tahir Masood, local PRI, ACD Atul Dutt Sharma, GM DIC Mohd Ashraf, AD FSC&CA Shafqat Ali, DSWO Zubair Ahmed, Tehsildar Kishtwar Umar Muneeb, ExEn PMGSY Marwah Mohd Aslam Lone, BDO Ravi Kumar, CMO Dr M Y Mir, CAO Amjad Hussain, DHO Vijay Kumar, ZEO Nagseni Ch.Nizam-Ud-Din besides other concerned.
Speaking on the occasion DC Kishtwar congratulated the youth of Upper-Palmar for getting the such a sports asset viz turf cricket pitch which will provide them an opportunity to hone their talent in the sports so that they can compete with the other parts of UT in sports sector efficiently.
He said that these Cricket pitches will be very beneficial for the youth and sports persons in hilly areas.
On the occasion DC Kishtwar also handed over Sports Kit to Youth and planted Chinar sapling at Upper palmar.
The Deputy Commissioner inaugurated the Community Sanitation Centre under SBM which may be utilised by community at large.
During his visit, the Deputy Commissioner also presided over the Weekly Block Diwas programme at panchayat Upper Palmar and listened to the Grievances of locals.
The locals of the area hailed the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar for organising the block Diwas Programme first time in this far flung area.
They apprised the DC about various issues and grievances which includes establishment of Health centre in the area,establishment of extension centres under FSC&CA, sanctioning of Timber for construction of houses etc.
After patient hearing he assured them that their genuine demands had been noted down and will be redressed in a time bound manner.
Regarding the issue of new ST Food extension centres in the ST areas, he informed that a proposal have submitted to concerned higher up for the same.
Speaking on the occasion he also highlighted the significance of education in the life of a person in this competitive world and urged parents to strive hard for the education of their children.
Besides, he also stressed upon the locals and PRIs work in Synergy and formulate the Developmental Plan of the panchayat by incorporating the project of public importance.
He urged the youth and PRIs to co-operate with administration so that developmental tempo of the panchayats are given a major flip and the panchayats may achieve new heights.
He also urged locals to maintain cleanliness in panchayats and also informed them that the sanitation works have been engaged in each panchayat of district Kishtwar who can be instrumental in achieving the objectives of SBM at ground level effectively.
Later, DC Kishtwar conducted inspection of GHS Patimhala and interacted with teachers here Children and enquired about the learning outcome of these children.
Enroute, he also took surprise visit of Health and wellness centre (HWC) Patimhalla and inspected the health functionals besides listening to the demands and grievances of the staff regarding infrastructure and medical equipments.
DC Kishtwar assured for redressal of the same at an earliest and instructed the staff to deliver services with dedication, punctuality and honesty.
