DC Kishtwar inaugurates Amrit Sarovar at Jar Panchayat of Paddar Sub Division
_Multifarious activities marks the Celebration of the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Sh. Lal Bahadur Shastri at Kishtwar_

To commemorate the 153rd birth anniversary of Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi and 118th Birth Anniversary of former PM of india Sh. Lal Bahadur Shastri, District administration Kishtwar in collaboration with Department of Rural Development Department & panchayat Raj besides School Education Department today conducted designated activities at all the panchayats and educational institutions of district Kishtwar.
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav-IAS visited Paddar Sub-Division of Kishtwar and inaugurated the Amrit Sarovar under Mission Amrit Sarovar in the Panchayat Jar besides participated in the Special Gram Sabha proceedings organised by Rural Development Department in said Panchayat of block Paddar.
He was accompanied by BDC chairman Arpan Rana,SDM Paddar Dr Rishi Kumar Sharma,ACP Kishtwar Zakir Hussain Wani,
ACD Kishtwar Atul Dutt Sharma,Tehsildar Paddar Satish Rana,BDO Paddar Anjeel Singh,BMO Paddar Dr Anil Sharma besides field functionaries of various departments.
Locals PRIs and public also remained present in the Gram Sabha.
On the occasion, Swachhata and Nasha Mukt Bharat pledges was also administered to the local and Gram sabha members besides other proceedings of the gram sabha were carried out in presence of Deputy Commissioner.
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar also listened to the grievances of people related to the streamlining of public delivery mechanism and upgradation of local infrastructure.
Deputy Commissioner assured them that their grievances will be resolved promptly in coordination with the concerned departments.
Speaking on the occasion he gave special thrust on the RDD functionaries to take the locals PRIs on board while formulating the Gram Panchayat level Plans for panchayats so that available resources lying with the panchayats can be utilized effectively and development works can be proposed on rational basis in the GPDP 2022-23 and further executed in encumbrance free manner.
Deputy Commissioner also sensitised the Gram sabha about menace of drug abuse in society and appealed Youth to co-operate with administration to eradicate the menace from society.
He also threw light on the Amnesty scheme of Power Development Department which enshrined the payment of long pending electricity bills by beneficiaries in installments that too without the interest accrued on it.
Similar Gram sabhas were held in all 136 Panchayats of district Kishtwar besides Swachhata pledges were administered by RDD Officers/officials to PRIs and common masses in the grams sabhas to carry forward the ideals espoused by two great leaders.
Besides the cleanliness and sanitation drives were also conducted by RDD functionaries in the field offices and panchayat Ghars in collaboration with people as a part of SBM and to motivate the people to keep their house and surrounding clean.
Later DC Kishtwar inspected the various development activities at the SDH Atholi,
Sports stadium at Gulabgarh and passed necessary directions to the executing agencies/Officers.
