DC Kishtwar Reviews Progress under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana

A review meeting to assess the implementation and progress of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Sh. Rajesh Kumar Shavan (JKAS). During the meeting, the Executive Engineer, JPDCL Kishtwar, briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the current status of applications received and consumer registrations under the scheme.



While reviewing the progress, the Deputy Commissioner directed all Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) of various departments across the district to actively publicize the scheme throughout the district. He emphasized the importance of registrations and linking with banks enabling seamless access to loan services. The DC also laid special emphasis on achieving visible results, including in cases of slackness.



Furthermore, he instructed the Executive Engineer, PDD, to share the step-by-step procedure for the scheme from registration to vendor selection, bank linkage, and finally installation and commissioning. He also appealed to the general public to actively participate and take full advantage of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, which aims to provide free electricity through solar energy and promote the adoption of clean and sustainable energy practices in the district.



The meeting was attended by CPO Kishtwar Shahnawaz Bali, ACR Kishtwar Idrees Lone, SDM Marwah Mohd. Ashraf, SDM Chatroo Nayeem Ur Rahman, DSWO Kishtwar Zubair Ahmed, Dy. Registrar Cooperative/EO Municipality Mirza Mumtaz Iqbal, AD FCS&CA Kishtwar Shafqat Ali Keen, Ex. En JPDCL Kishtwar Er. Latif Wani besides other Senior Officers and Staff from various departments and JPDCL Kishtwar.
