District Administration Kishtwar Launches first of its kind “Hello Kishtwar” IVRS to Address Citizens’ Queries and Grievances over phone
Citizens can access the “Hello Kishtwar” IVRS by dialing 8470-800-900 which will ensure affordable and effective grievance redressal mechanism in the District for poor people
Each call will be recorded using IVRS technology to ensure proper tracking of citizen complaints

The district administration Kishtwar today launched a new initiative called “Hello Kishtwar” which is an Inter Voice Response System for effective and affordable grievance redressal mechanism for poor people of district Kishtwar.
The aim of this initiative is to reduce the financial burden on people from remote areas who have to travel to government offices such as DC and SSP on a daily basis, spend money on transportation, printing of letters, and follow-ups.
To address this issue, information technology have been used so that citizens can directly talk to the DC, SSP, ADC, ADDC, CEO, CMO, etc. on every Tuesday and Thursday from 11 am to 12 pm regarding their grievances and queries in an easy way by simply dialing 8470-800-900.
Further, a fixed date and timing will ensure that genuine grievances are noted by government offices for the timely redressal.
After the call ends, each caller will receive an SMS containing a Grievance ID, which can be used to track the action taken on their grievance.
Each call will be recorded using IVRS technology to ensure proper tracking of citizen complaints.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav IAS, along with SSP Kishtwar Sh. Khalil Ahmed Poswal (JKPS) and ADDC Kishtwar Sh Sham Lal (JKAS) today launched “Hello Kishtwar” – an Intervoice Response System (IVRS) here in a simple but impressive programme wherein the team members of National Informatics Centre Kishtwar and media persons remained present.
During the launching ceremony Deputy Commissioner informed that the Citizens can access the “Hello Kishtwar” IVRS by dialing 8470-800-900.
A live demonstration was also made for media persons about the usage of “Hello Kishtwar” (IVRS) on the occasion and the media persons were sensitized to encourage and aware the citizens to use the services of “Hello Kishtwar”.
Interacting with media persons on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar highlighted that the initiative has been initially launched for two days a week, i.e., Tuesday and Thursday, from 11.00 AM to 12.00 Noon wherein number of officer has been directly linked with the initiative namely “Hello Kishtwar” who will be able to receive call and forwarded /dispose the genuine grievance /complaints.
Besides the citizen / user/ caller shall receive a Text message on his mobile number with reference ID and link for checking the status.
He further said that the district administration is committed to ensuring that all feedback is taken into account and appropriate measures are taken to improve service delivery.
Meanwhile, SSP Kishtwar emphasized that the launch of the “Hello Kishtwar” IVRS is a step to leverage technology to ensure that grievances of people are redressed in time bound and effective manner.
ADDC Kishtwar urged citizens to make use of citizen-centric initiatives “Hello Kishtwar” for larger benefit.
Overall, The launch of the “Hello Kishtwar” IVRS is a significant step to ensure that citizens can register their grievances through a call in a hassle-free manner, and the concerned departments can respond to them in a timely and efficient manner.
